Two things about me: I’m gay and I’m trans. I love stories that include members of the LGBT community, allowing us to be heroes and villains. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there were more diversity within fiction in general.
Maybe you are not a gay, but wish to support LGBT characters in fiction. The idea that only LGBT people can enjoy LGBT fiction is, I find, ridiculous. By not reading gay books, you could be missing out on some of the bravest, most thought provoking stories out there.
